Our staff  all have accurate carpentry as a core skill and city and guilds qualifications in the various aspects.

Whether it’s heavy duty structural carpentry, stud walling, door hanging, precision kitchen fitting or bespoke built- in furniture, we have the skill and patience to make it work.

With a little forethought, planning and patience, good carpentry trim can pull odd, disjointed spaces and details together into a  beautiful, satisfying whole.

Fitted Stairs

Here, a customer's existing loft conversion was not practically useable as the only access was via a fold down ladder. We designed and fitted a stairs to current building regs and managed to create carpentry details matching the original fittings to help the stairs and loft feel like they 'belong' to the house.

The customer was having difficulty finding attractive and robust doors to suit the dimensions of the existing garage/store opening. We made these to measure using chamfered edge tongue and groove board and planed timber planks – very strong and in this case, no more expensive than the off the shelf products they had been looking at.

Storage Space

Where this room has been extended, substantial beams, supports and waste pipes were visible and not necessarily very attractive. By constructing these cupboards to conceal the join between old and new, some very useful wardrobe and storage space was created too.

This house had a badly sagging roof ridge line due to the original roof structure being overloaded with unsuitable tiles. We cut out the existing ridge, straightened and refixed the rafters with stronger purlin supports before refelting, battening and refitting the tiles. One very happy customer.
